Mrs. Clarabelle Godfrey (more commonly known as Mrs. Godfrey) is Nate Wright's Social Studies teacher. She is very strict and takes her job very seriously. She makes reccuring appearances throughout the series. She doesn't get along with Nate, and often grades him unfairly with D's and F's.
Appearance
Mrs. Godfrey has short dark hair and a semi-oval shaped head, and is tall, overweight, and has dark eyes.
Biography
Mrs. Godfrey has had two children so far throughout the series. On both, she went on maternity leave fo a few months, much to Nate's delight. She has also once gone on sabbatical, but immediately was shown to still be as tough as ever upon return. Mrs. Godfrey is very formidable and is discribed by Lincoln Pierce as "every students nightmare of a teacher," often giving Nate detention for very small infractions, such as being a few seconds late to class, or not completing homework.
Trivia
- If you are caught eating in her class, you will automatically get detention.
- Nate has came up with many nicknames for Mrs. Godfrey such as: "Godzilla", "Venus de Silo", "Death Breath", "She who must not be named" , "Boring.com", "Pardon my nachos" , "I can't beileve she's not butter, "The dark side of the moon", or "There's no place like homework".
- Despite her supposedly strict personality, she seems fond of Nate's comics.
- She once had a case of insommia, though it was cured by Uncle Pedro.
- One of her favorite students was Nate's sister, Ellen.
- Nate often expresses his dislike of Mrs Godfrey through haiku, Poor Nates Almanac (Nate's personal version of Ben Franklin's book, Poor Richard's Almanac), and teacher report cards.
- There has only been one time where Mrs Godfrey has praised Nate which was on a test.
