Hello community,
This is Chad (AwesomeOrange89). Over the past year I have served as your Chief Executive Officer. As we run a democracy, I believe that the community should be able to elect their leader every year. Over the next two weeks we will be electing our Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for the year of 2016.
If you would like to run, please fill out this form: https://docs.google.com/CEO. You should read the list of qualifications before you do:
- Be a member of the wiki for at least a week.
- You must have made at least 25 edits before nominated.
- You can serve as CEO for a maximum of two years (two terms).
- 13 years of age or older per wikia rules
- Able to be online daily
- Be a person who is able to control a wiki
Here are the duties of the CEO:
- Manage the staff and wiki
- Develop and execute the mission statement, direction, and vision of the wiki
- Manage affiliates
- Appoint and hire staff members
- Represent the wiki
- Attend and plan meetings
- Provide decisions on small-large wiki changes
- Handle punishments
- Run projects, and operations
- Handle customer support
- Other duties deemed necessary by the Executive Chairperson
The timeline of elections will be as followed:
- March 13, 2016 - March 20, 2016 (nominations)
- March 20, 2016 - March 26, 2016 (voting)
- March 27, 2016 (after results are verified, the new CEO will be announced)
- March 28, 2016 (the CEO is sworn in and given full-pledged rights)
- Please note: elections will not being until there are at least two nominations.
